Dr. Kathleen Samantha Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After graduating high school at the age of 13, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors at the University of the Virgin Islands, moved on to complete medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1992, and then completed her residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where she was awarded the Excellence in Laparoscopic Surgery award. Since then, she has practiced in Tennessee and Southern California, then moved to Georgia to be closer to family and to provide excellent care to the women of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
Prior to joining Radiant Women’s Health, Dr. Johnson worked as an OB/GYN at Dekalb Medical/Emory Decatur Hospital from 2004 to 2022. During that time, she served in leadership positions including being OB/GYN Department Chair and has been involved in several hospital committees focused on improving the quality of care provided to patients. She has also been the Medical Director at her previous position, during which time she mentored several other physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners and staff. Dr. Johnson is recognized by her patients and colleagues for her compassion, professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to excellence. In the past 2 years, she has been able to use her surgical skills to help train Morehouse OB/GYN residents which has given her insight into the future of OB/GYN, and the future looks bright!
Dr. Johnson has always possessed a passion for helping others and was inspired to carry out that passion through a focus on health care. She is also fluent in Spanish in order to better serve her patients.
She has been happily married for over 20 years and has three kind, compassionate children. Her family worships at Bridge Pointe Church in Marietta, where she and her husband served as the Middle School Ministry Leaders for the past seven years.
